Annie and Jr.

Annie’s family struggled with drug addiction and neglect, the children suffered from the effects of domestic violence between their mother and her boyfriends. Often times the family stayed in motels or on the streets with no comfortable place to rest or store their belongings. Annie was placed into foster care when she was twelve and bounced through many group homes. At 17 Annie gave birth to her son and was at risk of losing him to foster care due to the lack of parenting skills, stable housing and independent living skills. Shortly after moving to The Launch Pad, Annie started her first job and has volunteers helping her to budget, give parenting instructions, study for her written driving test and give her driving lessons on the road. She is an incredibly dedicated and loving mom and it shows in her son’s personality and smile.

Currently Annie is finishing her dialysis technician certificate please consider helping Annie with her education and career goals and give her an opportunity to break a generational cycle of poverty for her and her son. Your donation goes towards helping Annie cover costs of rent, education needs and other household supplies as she works and is in school.
