Jordyn was 16 when she went into foster care.  Despite the deep pain and challenges to process, Jordyn always managed to stay in school.  She arrived at The Launch Pad with an impressive GPA, a job, and an internship.  Once we asked her, “what is the hardest part of living at The Launch Pad and what is the best part about living here?”  Her reply was, “the answers are the same: learning to let people love you.”  Jordyn has come a long way in trusting people, feeling safe and courageous to be honest, and understanding the importance of community.

To help sustain herself while in college, Jordyn is looking at enrolling in a massage school. Please consider helping Jordyn with this goal for short-term sustainability as she works to achieve her long-term education and career plans to become a social worker.
